@drdavidmorris: Can nerves actually heal over time? Neuropathy, nerve regeneration, peripheral nerves, circulation, nerve health, mitochondrial function, blood flow, chronic nerve pain, inflammation, and functional medicine are topics gaining attention in health discussions. Many people don't realize that peripheral nerves have built-in repair mechanisms that researchers continue to study. Nerve health depends on multiple factors, including: 🩸 Blood flow ⚡ Cellular energy production 🥗 Nutritional status 🔥 Inflammatory balance While every situation is different, many healthcare professionals believe it's important to look beyond symptoms alone and consider the overall environment supporting nerve function. Understanding what affects nerve health may help people have more informed conversations about their long-term wellness. 👉If you've been dealing with nerve symptoms, talk with a qualified healthcare professional about factors that influence nerve health and recovery. 💬How long have you been dealing with nerve-related symptoms? #Neuropathy #NerveRegeneration #NerveHealth #PeripheralNeuropathy #HealthTok #FunctionalMedicine #ChronicPain #murfreesboro #functionalmedicine #magnoliamedicalcenter #rootcause #fyp #viral

Watch plants. We are like plants. They can be in terrible shape, change something in their environment and they will flourish many times.

I was recently diagnosed with Trigeminal neuralgia I’m very afraid that when I see the neurologist that this will be his answer. More drugs that make me feel terrible. I want the reason not just a diagnosis

I had my right colon taken out and I'm assuming because of how they cut me down the middle. I lost feeling on the left side of my stomach. It took a year and a half to regain feeling on that side of my stomach. Now I feel completely normal in that area.

Is this why it took 18 months for my paralysed left arm to heal? 1mm per day for 365 + 180 days? 🥺 You are good dr.

When I had a bulged disc they put me on gabapentin while I waited for a mri & it just kept getting worse & worse where I finally ended up in the ER. The ER doc asked if gabapentin was helping? I said I didn’t think so & he took me off immediately. The next day I realized the gabapentin was messing with my pain tolerance. The pain was still there but my ability to handle it was back! Never will I go in it again!

On June 8th, during an operation, the surgeon severed the radial nerve in my right hand and did not admit that he had done it. A month later, I had another operation in which my radial nerve was reconstructed with a sural nerve graft. Is there any chance of a full recovery?

Question: I stopped vaping nicotine for a year to encourage my nerve in my finger would regrow after an accident (per medical advice) - after zero changes and a stressful life event I went back to vaping (tusk, tusk me). 3 years have passed. If I quit nicotine again, is there a chance my nerve starts growing back again?

How about sciatic nerve irritation caused by the L5/S1 disc bulging? The sciatic nerve runs all the way down to the outer foot, and the numbness is mainly affecting my foot, along with an electric-type pain that can be very uncomfortable to deal with.
Can this improve over time? Sometimes I feel some relief, as if the nerve has been freed or the pressure has eased, but then the symptoms come back again.
