62 "possibly linked" with 500000 taking them is a pretty good safety profile, no?

Version2.5 :
On average, over 200 people die annually while exercising in Australia. This clearly indicates a potential risk associated with exercising 🧐.

Its a medicine. Medicines... none of them... are 100% safe. Most of those were probably misusing them or not receiving the proper care. Obesity kills more people. So does paracetamol, alcohol and ibuprofen.

So, a good current figure to use is roughly 3.7 million deaths worldwide per year associated with obesity/higher-than-optimal BMI.

Credits->@Andalusian Sherif🇪🇸🇯🇴 The Umayyad Caliphate was one of the most important states in the history of the Islamic world and ruled a vast territory from 661 to 750 CE. It was founded by Muawiya ibn Abi Sufyan after a period of political conflict that followed the death of Caliph Ali ibn Abi Talib. Muawiya established Damascus as the capital and created a more centralized system of government. Under the Umayyads, the Islamic state expanded rapidly and reached its greatest territorial size, stretching from the Iberian Peninsula and North Africa in the west to Central Asia and parts of the Indian subcontinent in the east. One of the most famous achievements of the Umayyad period was the conquest of the Iberian Peninsula in 711 under Tariq ibn Ziyad. Muslim armies crossed into Spain and defeated the Visigothic kingdom, establishing Muslim rule in much of the peninsula. The Umayyads also continued expanding into Central Asia and faced major powers such as the Byzantine Empire. Their military campaigns helped spread Islam and Arabic culture across a huge geographical area. The Umayyad rulers also played an important role in the development of Islamic administration. Arabic became the main administrative language of the empire, and important reforms were introduced in taxation, coinage, and government organization. Caliph Abd al-Malik was particularly influential in these reforms. He introduced a standardized Islamic currency and ordered the construction of the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem, one of the most famous monuments of early Islamic architecture. His son, al-Walid I, continued large construction projects and supported the development of roads, mosques, and public buildings. Despite its achievements, the Umayyad Caliphate faced serious political and social problems. Some non-Arab Muslims, known as mawali, believed that they were treated unfairly compared with Arab Muslims. There was also opposition from various political and religious groups, including supporters of the family of Ali and members of other tribal and political factions. These tensions gradually weakened the authority of the Umayyad government. The Abbasid Revolution eventually brought the Umayyad Caliphate in the Middle East to an end in 750 CE. Most members of the Umayyad family were killed, but Abd al-Rahman I escaped to the Iberian Peninsula. He later established an independent Umayyad emirate in Córdoba in 756. This state eventually became the Caliphate of Córdoba in 929 and preserved the Umayyad political and cultural tradition in Spain for centuries. The legacy of the Umayyads is therefore much broader than their political rule. They helped transform the early Islamic community into a large imperial state, contributed to the spread of Arabic language and culture, strengthened administrative institutions, and sponsored important architectural projects. Although their rule was controversial and faced significant opposition, the Umayyad period was a crucial stage in the development of Islamic civilization and had a lasting influence on the political, cultural, and architectural history of the Mediterranean, Middle East, North Africa, and Iberian Peninsula. #islam #سعوديه🇸🇦 #syria #damascus #أمية
