In that 2023 House Oversight hearing, Grusch testified under oath that biologics accompanied some recoveries but declined to answer whether the U.S. had made contact with intelligent extraterrestrials, saying it was something he could not discuss in an open setting. Now, in the Dr. Phil interview, McGraw directly asks whether pilots or occupants have ever been "taken alive," and Grusch answers yes, moving the discussion into claims of communication with those alleged beings. The Pentagon's All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office maintains it has found no verifiable evidence to support these claims, and AARO Director Jon Kosloski reiterated in November 2024 that the office had discovered no verifiable evidence of extraterrestrial beings, activity, or technology.
