1. Never heard an iPhone user hate on iphones. I try to like iphones, but I can't, so I stick with Samsung or Oneplus. 2. Yes, agree! AI is amazing for some things. But a lot of people seem to think "Chatgpt couldn't finish this huge task, so ALL ai is bad" or "AI will take my job", well, is a simple stupid computer program can take your job then maybe you aren't providing that much value? 3. Yes! I like good audio, but I understand when people like MP3 quality. What I don't understand is people who say they like good quality sound, then proceed to recommend apple airpods max - worse sound quality for the price out there! I use Bluetooth headphones for convenience, but I use a pair of $25 IEMs with my android DAP when I want properly goof FLAC bit perfect audio. Would I recommend thst setup for others, hell no. It's very inconvenient and fits me sometimes, but very few people would like the tradeoff. 4. As a systems architect, yes! I plan ram budget for server hardware, and many times I choose to recommend less feature complete applications if they use less resources, just for that sake. Also, to connect it back to AI. Many Chinese open source models use sooo much less resources, for just a few % lower performance that it's not even funny.

Also, to add to your AI point, can we quit bashing on just "AI" in general. Most of the hate I've seen is clearing targeted at gen AI but they attribute it to any and all AI. AI has so many more use cases other than using chat gpt to cheat on your english papers...

as a bit of an audiophile 10000% agree. I know what I like for the applications I use it in. if friends or family ask for cheap audio recommendations I'm going for IEMs no question but I refuse to argue with you on what sounds best. if you're on a budget I'll argue a bit on price to performance but that's about it
