He is known as the Surfing Rabbi because of his earlier life as a professional surfer in California. He focuses on Kabbalah spirituality and personal growth seminars. He has no official role in the Israeli government and no documented connection to Netanyahu or Israeli policy making. The clip comes from a Tisha B’Av lecture he gave in September 2024. Tisha B’Av is a traditional day of mourning for the destruction of the Temples and other tragedies in Jewish history. As a white Western Christian who just watched this, I have a genuine question: if you believe America and other nations will be brought to their knees while Israel is elevated above them, why should Americans continue giving Israel billions in military and political support? I'm not attacking Jews or claiming you speak for all Israelis. I'm asking about your words. America doesn't exist to bow before Israel or any other nation.
