The most brutal thing about them is that they view your happiness as a threat to their fragile ego. If they can’t insert themselves into your happy picture they will smear their shit over it with 0 remorse yet so subtly that you would sound crazy if you called them out. Yet, when you eventually call them out you will learn that they already painted you as the problem to everyone around you and your call out will be used as a proof how “difficult” you are. Dealing with narc is a death by a million subtle needle stabs. If they can’t take you down because you learned how to deal with them, they will put their best effort to isolate you from your loved ones and everyone that listens to their smear podcasts against you.
