as a former auditor, I definitely knew. in fact, one woman would come directly in the building, to the desk, tell me good morning and chat for a minute or two, then I'd tell her to enjoy her breakfast and she'd head to the breakfast area. she didn't stay at the hotel. never had a room there. but I absolutely wouldn't tell someone they can't have food. plus what they paid me was not worth me policing it.

to anyone who thinks it's a good idea, and "as a hotel worker we don't care" yes we do. because you might come in, get breakfast and go, but then we have to deal with the repercussions. please be considerate, we don't get enough money already to deal with shit like this
