You can praise Connor’s acting without comparing him to Hudson or pissing on his talent. Hudson Williams is a compelling actor because of his profound emotional restraint and mastery of subtlety. He uses micro-expressions, quiet pauses, and precise physical tension instead of loud dialogue to communicate rich internal conflict and yearning. His grounded, non-stereotypical portrayal of neurodivergence blends athletic masculinity with a tender, authentic vulnerability. and he did all that with much less dialogue than Connor. They are both great but the way you compare them is just wrong

Hudson got praise because he is a brilliant actor with the little material given to him to work with. That my dear is what you called acting. It doesn’t need to be loud and all in your face.

I didn't hear any Hudson shade at all. Connor did do a really really good job especially with the Russian accent. My only confusion is... on what planet did Connor not get praise? He was actually the ONLY one most fans and publications were praising when the show aired. Hudson was only praised by people who read the book and knew how Shane was supposed to act and then later by people who found out Shane is an autistic character. When they started doing promo and people saw Hudson's real personality, that's when people realized he was actually acting on HR (which is insane to me every time I think about people actually thinking he was the only one not acting on the TV SHOW 🤦🏽). So this revisionist history happening where somehow Connor wasn't praised and only Hudson was is INSANE! Since when???
