Fun fact, California started creating their own highway system in 1912 far before any other state or the federal government funding so it honestly does make a lot of sense. Why many parts of the freeway sections in California are unique than any other part of the country.

Even after all the construction they did the last few years I thought they were adding another lane but all they did was add a walk way…who is even going to use that???

You know what merge I really hate? The one switching from 50 to this stretch right here. The merge from either direction is SO FAST and no one is paying attention and looking for others coming from the other offramp.

I drive between Folsom and Santa Cruz all the time and for me the worst place is I-5, 99, 50 interchange. Worse than any place in Silicon Valley.

the 880 580 24 mess in emeryville is also horrific, maybe worse. everyone on is trying to get off, everyone off is trying to get on, and it's the busiest road in the bay. I have wasted so much life time getting through

The reason particular segment of business 80 has a horrific bend in it is because it because the Sacramento’s old city dump was where Sutter’s landing park is, so they had to rout the freeway around the dump I’m assuming because they didn’t want to take the freeway through McKinley park.

I-40 is way easier…until tornado season hits 😭😂 drove I-40 during tornado season in 2011 🫠 never doing that sh again

I say "the" when I'm talking about freeways because it sounds stupid to say, "I'm going to take freeway to get there." I say, "I'm going to take *the* freeway to get there." Same thing with the name of it. "I'm going to take *the* Bus-80 to get there" instead of "I'm going to take Bus-80 to get there."

I use to work at the Extra Space Storage on the side of the freeway. The breakroom faces the freeway so I’d watch the traffic for entertainment 😂 😂 if they got rid of the on ramps at P and E street it be a lot better.
