A lady came in saying her estradiol inserts weren’t working correctly. I suggested she try talking to the pharmacist or her doctor for alternatives. She said “No just take a look at them and see what i’m doing wrong” as she dumped a plastic bag of USED inserts onto the counter. I panicked and ran and got the pharmacist. The whole pharmacy smelled horrible for the rest of the day.

Hello All :
Guy wanted a refund for the Sildenafil he purchased. Complaint “They don’t fit.” He somehow thought he was supposed to put the tablet up his urethra. I have specified “To be taken orally” ever since.

really upset that her insurance wouldn't cover a name brand. cost was over 200. 2.50ish with the generic. she turned around and left, came back a second later, showed us a photo of Ted Bundy on her phone and yelled "THIS IS WHAT THE STATE OF WASHINGTON HAS DONE TO ME"

spoke to 86 year old Mrs Smith on Friday morning and ordered her medications. Monday afternoon, her son (who usually collects her prescriptions as well as his daughter's) came in and asked to collect his daughter's meds. I said "your mum ordered on Friday, and its ready if you want to collect it for her?" he started SOBBING uncontrollably. this 60 year old man I had known for 5 years buckled to the floor and was inconsolable. his mum had died on the Friday afternoon. we shut the shop so he could calm down, made him tea & biscuits, and just let him be someone who is grieving their mum.

it was after closing, like 10 min after closing and we were still working since a lady came at like 2 min before closing so we served her. as she was exiting and we were locking the door behind her, a man came to the door and pushed against us to enter bc he needed his medication (he said he was out of them for 2 days...), we said time and time again we were closed, he started taking out 100$ bills to "tip" us to let him go in, we obviously said no even more. He got in his car super mad & agressive. I thought that was the end of it. boy was i wrong💀 I went to my car, put my music on & saw the crazy man park his car way too fast beside me, told me to open my window & asked my name bc he wanted to make a complaint. I told him my name and he threatened that I was gonna have trouble. I laughed in his face and he went away. I never got in trouble for it, we were all witnesses of his craziness lol. btw, he still comes to my pharmacy and looks me in the eye and never recognized me lol. crazy the audacity that people have. ofc everytime he comes in, everybody knows who he is, but it doesn't look like it bothers him at all lol

Our pharmacy provided meds for the nearby nursing home, they’d be charged to the pts account and delivered over. One time a resident intercepted the delivery and brought the drugs to each individual patient and CHARGED CASH AT THEIR DOOR and just pocketed all her earnings

had a patient come in to pick up spouse’s meds, patient a week later stated that the spouse had died months ago. patient had been picking up her dead spouse’s meds for months, no idea what she did with those meds.

I once had an older (50s) male patient leave a 3 page (front & back) letter confessing his feelings for me taped to the drivers window of my car. He said in it that he knew it was my car bc he watched me walk in and out of work every day. I was 21 when it happened

I'm not a pharmacist, but I knew enough to know how bad ass it was when a man was yelling and demanding opioids without a prescription at the script counter and the pharmacist offered a box of loperamide.🤣

Drunk driver came right through the front door, destroyed the whole front store and more. Good thing no one was at the front at the time or they probably would be dead today.

I (pharmacist) smacked my head on a cupboard, cut it open, bleeding profusely in dispensary. Numerous requests for scripts to still be done… even when paramedic was patching my head! 😂

this was a regular thing that happened in our area, but we would get a prescription for 1 person for permetherin but it was to dispense enough for 4 people because they couldn't afford it. we had to call the doctors office to tell them they need to write a separate scrpt for each person. i had to wash my hands for 20 minutes after touching the prescription

patient started projectile vomiting what looked like both bright red and dark almost black blood. everywhere. 1 minute he was sitting quietly waiting for his meds and the next it was like a massacre. his wife ran to us asking for paper towel and we said we’re calling 911 and she said NO!! HE HAS DEMENTIA AND ATE 5 POUNDS OF BLUEBERRIES THIS MORNING!!!! he threw up 5lbs of blueberry liquid all over our pharmacy.

Had a woman try to hand me a mason jar with her poop in it for testing. (Testing for what I don’t know) I refused to take it and told her she needs to see her doctor. 🤦🏻♀️also had a lady try to return a used pregnancy test saying it didn’t work because it says positive.

had a patient become ENRAGED because we had been filling one of his meds under a goodrx rather than his insurance because it was much cheaper. he insisted we fill it under his insurance and then got again when it was more expensive.

Had a lady come in for a morning after pill, while explaining the medication to her and how it’s not always a 100% effective - she completely flipped out on me saying she doesn’t want it if it isn’t 100% effective so she said she will just take some laxatives instead…
