@phiona_nyamutoro: Earlier today in Busia at Busitema University for the first ever Youth Mining Day organised by the Junior Uganda Chamber of Energy and Minerals and it's partners. This intiative is to interest young people across the country in Mining not just as professionals but also as other players across the Mineral value chain. Upto 80% of Uganda's land mass is not yet explored and that speaks of untapped potential in the future for opportunities in employment. With the fast growing minerals sector ,it's important that the youth prepare to innovative locally tailored methodologies and technologies for responsible sustainable Mineral exploitation and address the challenges that exist from exploration, quantification, extraction, value addition to commercialization. Let's link Mining knowledge to practicability and see our economy thrive. @UgandaChamber @Busitema1
