My doctor told me I could expect to lose about 20% of my body weight. I would still be overweight but I will be thrilled if I manage to feel healthier in a smaller body.

I’m 65 years old fully menopausal. I was steadily gaining since perimenopause. I have a chronic lung disease. Tried Wegovy, it made me sick, had to stop. Went to Tirzepatide, lost 100 lbs since August 2025. Started 233, am now 135. I am 5’5”. Hoping my maintenance journey will not be difficult, but preparing myself.

For what it's worth, I think online skews "success" a lot. The people who become skinny are generally speaking the ones who get traction on social media. IRL peers I've met through obesity management services are often still in large bodies but often smaller than they were, much healthier, and with a better quality of life. That includes surgery, medication, or a combination of both. For reference I started at 620 lbs and have lost 291 lbs. I'm still in a large body but very much consider myself a success. Keep shouting Kim 💖💖💖

thank you for this. I truly believed that losing all of the weight (I went from 330 to 140) changed that fact, but I was wrong. I went through a traumatic event and wasn't as diligent, but I was eating the same things that I see "normal" people eat and gained back 80. Food absolutely consumed every waking thought, the obsession was so loud and every single day of my life has been a struggle. GLP felt like a miracle, not because of the weight loss but because I finally felt like my entire thought life was opened up to think about literally anything else. I love everything you put out, I need a translator and you're perfect. you help me understand and also show myself grace and mercy and compassion. thank you

I was always tiny until I hit peri-menopause. Then i gained almost 100lbs in 5 months. Im doing HRT but something changed in my body. For 2-years I haven't been able to lose any weight, even when seeing a nutrition specialist and tracking everything. I'm finally meeting with a doctor to talk about glp but NGTL it is kind of intimidating.

Your content is always so affirming and helpful; thank you. I went from 220 to 160 on ZB and have hovered there two years despite efforts to keep losing. I’ve decided to really be happy with my progress and my ability to maintain and to stop criticizing myself for “not doing better.” I did great; I’m sure I added years to my life; I certainly vastly improved the quality. If I don’t lose more, I will be okay with that but it took me some therapy to get there.

I hit a 2 year stall after losing 50lbs. I never stopped taking the GLP1’s, I was afraid to gain. I decided to come off it for a a couple months to give my body a chance to re adjust. Hoping this will help kick start when I start up again.

I’ve never been in a small body. I’m hoping for a high mid-size body when I’m done and on maintenance

I was 329lb in 2017, lost 110lbs over 4 yrs naturally through eating less & exercise. When my parents became ill & passed I gained back 30lbs, lost it + 10 more through calorie deficit/weighing food & exercise. Then while still trying to lose another 30lbs I gained 16lbs. I just could not understand what was happening with my body. I began Zepbound 4 weeks ago because of the Bridge program. I had no cholesterol or BP issues but I do have Hashimoto’s disease. I’m hoping Zepbound will help me lose another 40-50lbs.
