@lyqamaravilla: Developmental psychology books 📚 taught me that people outgrow dichotomous reasoning after childhood. But, looking around, I find that most of us carry that well into adulthood. Maybe it’s because putting complex reasoning and layered emotions into pretty, labeled, little boxes is easier, more convenient — and, at times, necessary for us to survive. And that’s okay, I think. I’m not one to force people who aren’t ready to face this dark and stark reality. But if and when you’re ready, you should know that you can be both. You are strong enough to look and acknowledge two seemingly conflicting truths. After all, you’ve always carried both. 💜, Lyqa #realtalk #Motivation
