Like you say the key is how you react to knowing there’s that risk. It’s natural to want to control things because it makes things feel inherently safer but guarding yourself against the hurt means you also guard yourself against the good. There is no greater gift in the world than love, it’s the current under everything and when it’s flowing there’s a hum to life that cannot be replicated.
