Weak mc that don’t stick up for themselves, the mc and li moving too quickly with the relationship, side characters getting more screen time than the mcs, the mc being in early 20’s and the li being dang near 40😭 etc.

I love advanced directing, but not when it's ALL just zooming on overlays animating like "ooo look at the rain slowly coming down on the window, now look at this guy pouring coffee, now look at the way his hand moves to pick it up and then grab a cigarette..." JUST GET TO THE STORY ALREADY! It feels more like they're just showing off than actually telling the story and it annoys me. When I say I like advanced directing, I don't mean watching a whole chapter of art scenes, I mean point systems, labels, actual fun minigames, more than one ending, certain things happening because of what name you typed in, things like that. But what's the most important to me ofc is the writing.

Make sure that every character has a backstory and isn’t just THERE, like for example the main characters best friend is extremely funny but is later revealed that they use humour as a coping mechanism for their trauma, or even the random cashier has a part to play. Also don’t just blurt out information, make the characters be really engaging with the reader and constantly share their thoughts rather than just dialogue. One more thing, SLOWBURNS!!
