Welcome!! I’m having a parathyroidectomy this Wednesday 10/21/26. Your scar looks awesome!! Keep an eye on your kidneys, too much calcium can produce kidney stones, cause your kidneys to struggle.

I am a nurse. Your parathyroid glands (which many people have never heard of) are of extreme importance to the body's overall functioning. Your varied & extreme symptoms & your post op improvement are indicative of the need for these glands to work correctly. I know a young lady whose symptoms were so severe that she lost her job, could not take care of her young child, & could hardly get out of bed. Her doctor told her that nothing was wrong with her. She knew that something WAS wrong & went to several doctors until she was diagnosed correctly with hypoparathyroidism. Her improvement after treatment was as swift & drastic as yours.

How did you get a doctor to care and give you more than “anxiety” diagnosis

I’m a head & neck surgery PA who assists in these surgeries- it’s not placebo effect! The almost immediate improvement of symptoms (especially fatigue and bone pain) after surgery is incredible but it’s a real effect we see often! You explained this very well, and I’m glad you’re feeling better!

I had my hyperparathyroidism surgery 10 months ago (also a young guy like you) and I had two adenomas removed. My symptoms were almost unbearable for the two years prior to my surgery and I'm not sure how I even made it through. Super proud of you man for sharing your journey and glad you're on the other side of it too.

For women you can also get a large amount of repetitive kidney stones… I had back to back kidney stones within 60 days of each other .

I have horrible bone pain. Slightly high calcium and low vitamin D. Exhausted, thirsty. Going to see an endocrinologist this week, but I’m scared they will gaslight me.

I got surgery 2 weeks ago for primary hyperparathyroidism. Its insane how this disease is never talked about and literally nobody knows the difference between their parathyroid and thyroid gland. Im glad youre talking about this, and I also was young when I had my tumor. Im 27 and feeling alot better already. The issues with weightloss were huge for me! Im excited to be able to work out again. My hair was also falling out. I had alot of similar symptoms to you including the bone pain. Im glad youre feeling better!

It’s awesome that your doctor listened right away. I had thyroid cancer and got half of my thyroid removed- same scar! Twins! Brain fog is such a scary feeling.

how did you get diagnosed? what tests did you ask for. I have had so many tests, imaging done, etc, cant find anything wrong. I cant keep vit d levels up, tachycardia, heart palpitations, fatigue, brain fog, headaches, body joints hurt, muscle weakness, anxiety. cant take much more.

I’m so happy I found your video, you’re actually making me look forward to having surgery! I’m 38 weeks pregnant & found out 2 weeks ago I had adenomas on my parathyroid glands. Calcium was like 14.6 and PTH in 380s 😅 No clue. They wanted to induce me and get me into surgery but that scared me. This has convinced me to not wait too long after delivery to get it taken care of
