people say “putting your heart on your sleeve” but it’s literally just having emotions and being vulnerable. just being able to be free instead of bottling everything up. if you have friends or family that you cannot be honest and free with it gets overbearing

Not even open up, a lot of people don’t want to invest the TIME it takes to build these strong relationships. Everyone wants a community of people that show up for the, but can’t be bothered to show up for others. Surface level relationships devoid of any sort of vulnerability, intimacy and care will not yield the same results!

Right up there with you girl, I learnt that earlier in life because half the time when when u allow yourself to mistrust others or segregate from others because of someone else doing you wrong …..Those people often don’t even remember about what they did to u and the impact it had and here u go locking yourself off from other potentially good people and being miserable while those terrible people are out having a blast in their own life…. learn, adapt and MOVE ONN.

Listen for years I’ve struggled with being vulnerable, calling myself weak for showing feelings/ emotions and I’m at the age where I understand myself and the reason why it’s necessary. It doesn’t make me weak, it makes me me.

Everybody wants friends/ closeness but they refuse to understand that it literally takes standing in the gap for your community with integrity and kindness without expectation. One can only hope and pray the people they deem 'close' will reciprocate and if they aren't reciprocating then act accordingly. EVERYBODY WANTS A VILLLAGE BUT NOBODY WANTS TO BE A VILLAGER. And lastly, nobody every wants to just show up as themselves, unfiltered, raw and just deep. ugghh...
