@bloombergbusiness: "How can you validate human sweat to make something?" will.i.am tells Mishal Husain that in the era of AI, human creativity "should be worth more than just compute output." Listen to or watch The Mishal Husain Show for more. #AI #Tech #business #Entertainment #creativity

I admire the idea and purpose of it differentiating between AI and Human skills. Time, passion, creativity. But remember one thing passionate artists with depth would attract deep listeners. While shallow music with surface level artists would attract shallow listeners. But think about it, do you think majority of your listeners are shallow or deep? If it falls on shallow then sure AI can easily replace and imitate you. But if you have deep listeners and you have built this connection with them. Then you got nothing to be scared of or worry about

No way AI can come up with lyrics like: "let's do it, and do it, and do it do it do it, and do it, and do it and do it do it do it."

it's a tool. no different than CGI in movies. wtf is autotune? they don't really sound like that, it's the computer.

omg...it’s like valuing the person delivering packages by carriage more than the person using a car, just because the outdated method takes more time and effort. should we revert all human innovation and go back to the Stone Ages?

if you took your favourite song or movie or book ever, and actually discovered it was made by AI, it wouldn't matter as you still enjoyed it....

I kinda agree with what he is saying, but I'm kinda annoyed by the fact that we need to have our own file extension. Why not make sure that every piece of media that is generated with Ai should be presented to the user in a new form of extension. ".mp3ai" ".waiv" etc.

So humans don't use technology to master their songs? I'd be more on board with this if it was live music, but if artists are going to use technology to make their music, they don't have the right to complain about AI competing with them. Just carry on being super wealthy, Mr Will-I-Am.

Artists have used digital tools to make it easier for themselves to make tons 🥰of money. Now, when other people use similar tools to proffit, they are againts technology. lol

why should an accountant's effort for spending time doing the books be considered the same as an AI that does it in seconds?
why should code from a programmer's effort be valued the same as AI-generated code?
there's no harm in distinguishing between human and AI-generated output. but value is not based on effort, it's based on what someone is willing to pay for the utility. if AI music and video is as entertaining as human generated content, you can't convince someone to pay more...
