Murder Drones is an Australian independent 3D animated science fiction, horror-comedy web series created by Liam Vickers and produced by Glitch Productions. Set in the year 3071, the story takes place on the frozen exoplanet Copper 9, where humanity has gone extinct after the planet’s core catastrophically collapsed. The only beings left behind are Worker Drones—robots originally built to serve humans—who have formed their own society and struggle to survive in the icy wasteland. The story follows Uzi Doorman, a rebellious and sarcastic Worker Drone who dreams of fighting back instead of hiding behind the colony’s massive blast doors. When she unexpectedly befriends Serial Designation N, a kind-hearted Disassembly Drone (also called a Murder Drone) who was sent to exterminate her species, the two form an unlikely alliance. Alongside the fierce and unpredictable V and the ruthless J, they uncover a far larger mystery involving their origins, the sinister corporation JCJenson, and the terrifying eldritch force known as the Absolute Solver. Despite its cute robot designs, Murder Drones blends fast-paced action, dark humor, horror, emotional character development, and mystery. The series explores themes such as identity, free will, friendship, trauma, sacrifice, and what it truly means to be alive. Its cinematic animation, expressive characters, and shocking plot twists have earned it a large fanbase. The series consists of eight episodes, originally released on YouTube between 2021 and 2024, before later becoming available on Prime Video
