@joheinlambert: Resting orders show where liquidity is available and where price may possibly reverse. Possible reversal areas: Bookmap shows resting orders (liquidity) through its heatmap visualization. Resting orders are limit orders waiting in the order book: Buy limit orders resting below the current price → potential support/liquidity area. Sell limit orders resting above the current price → potential resistance/liquidity area. When price reaches large resting order zones, it can react because there may be enough liquidity to absorb aggressive buying or selling pressure. However, confirmation is still needed because resting orders can be cancelled or moved.
