Kids choking is so scary. My daughter was 5 when she choked on an airhead and I got attacked by a family members dog while doing the heimlich on her. Had to go to the hospital after saving her life. So happy she’s ok, you reacted wonderfully.

My brother choked on a kinder joy egg and he’s 18 years old this can happen at any age it is so fucking scary I had no clue what I was doing and I just started beating on his back like this I tried to do it the other way but he is wya bigger then me so it wasn’t gonna work it was so scary I will never forget it I was running to go get my mom but something told me to turn back like don’t leave him and I did not I just started beating on him 😭 because it was so scary and I’m only 16 and I had no clue what to do and was panicking so yea I have trauma and get scared when anyone coughs around me 😭

idk if you do already but this is why I will always always cut the pasta to make it shorter until they are teens! I’m glad she’s okay you did exactly what you needed to!!💛

This first and only time I choked I was 7, and my grandma thankfully had just completed her cpr and heimlich classes and was able to save me. I had the same reaction! It truly is just as terrifying on the personal side and it is the outside. It was so scary and I just couldn’t stop crying. Because of that I also got cpr and heimlich trained and since then I have successfully performed the heimlich FOUR and cpr one time on others. If you’re not trained to do so I highly recommend looking into it, tons of places offer free courses and certifications. Good job mama ❤️way to keep calm and get right to work!

Great job mom! Look up a LifeVac. It’s an amazing device that helps with choking when back blows don’t work. Happy that your baby is ok.

my daughter choked in water one time. it was so scary. she couldn't catch her breath and started turning purple and said she felt dizzy like she was going to go to sleep. it was so hard to help her in that moment because none of the usual stuff was helping. I'm glad your little is ok! my daughter cried too. so did I. it was terrifying.

you did great. I've worked in childcare for over 25 years and I've had a few choking incidences, one bad enough that we ended up in the ambulance, it's terrifying. you did so well.
