During election campaigns I saw full of conservatives commercials. Saw full of Stephen Harper’s speeches, he’s pulling a soft version of Trump!! I see Pierre P on Tv all the time 🤔

Harper strictly controlled media access to his campaign during the 2015 election. That, combined with fatigue over a nine-year-old government and a younger, more popular opponent, and an electorate that skews left, have a lot more to do with why he lost than his vague complaints that the media is biased against him.

It’s not the major reason he’s not Prime Minister anymore. Harper forgot the golden rule in federal politics. No Prime Minister Liberal or Conservative can win four elections in a row in Canada. It just doesn’t happen.

It's because Canadian journalists are educated and it's because more Canadians than Americans have post secondary education. Education and critical thinking are the best antidote to conservativkism.

Seems to me that much of Canadian media is owned by American companies. I think there is more right leaning media than left wing.
