I completely disagree. Half of our income taxes are going to interest payments. The deficit is what worsens inflation.

What? If debt doesn’t matter, then why charge taxes? Just print more money

Sure it matters, that is why we have an affordablity crisis. It is showing in the cost of things. Printing money does not help if it is worth less.

It won’t matter until it does. It also matters because the US has to pay 1T per year on interest alone. Imagine what good that $ could do for society.

Sort of. As long as they can devalue the currency faster so the debt loses value faster

Of course Warren Buffett said it doesn’t matter because he has huge stake in US stocks. Can u imagine if he said the opposite? Thats why he need to say that it doesn’t matter. Once the tipping point where US dollar is no longer world or reserve currency, we’ll see. The fact that US bail out yen recently, its because it matters.

Possibly, but it does crowd out investment and it also makes it hard to let interest rates rise to appropriate levels to deal with inflation

Printing money reduced the dollar’s buying power doesn’t it? If people are not invested in stocks, they are losing every year they print more dollars no??
