If someone has come to my house they are my guest, drinks, snacks and ice creams will be provided. if I didn't want to or couldn't afford to buy them all something,.I would donut after I've dropped them home or they have gone. plus they have come to PLAY.

If i had my kids friends. They are treated like my own kids I pay for everything just like I would my own children bur again if my child is going somewhere I always offer to send money or pay x

For me most play dates that occur at my house I will cover like snacks and drinks. If it’s a pre planned event like a mom taking them to do an activity I will send my child with money.

if we have kids over for a play date I would always supply lunch wether that is at home or out. I think if the person has invited your child somewhere then they should be willing to pay for that activity.

errrr I dunno, my daughter has a best friend she comes everywhere with us and my daughter goes out with her family. when I've been offered money or the girls are given I feel awkward.. then do I need to give money every time.. I feel better just knowing it's a mutal thing.. when your kids with me she's mine and will be treated as mine. if I can't afford ice-cream etc for 2 no ones having one if I can afford ice-cream everyone's having one.. I don't expect cash for your child i expect mine to be treated the same as I treat yours

This is me I’m always sending money with my kids and expected to pay when other kids come mine it get to a point you just stop letting kids come over! Been worse inviting a child over for a Birthday for my daughter they didn’t even bring a card!

Whenever I had play dates when I was younger the parent whose house u would be at would pay, likewise my mum would pay for things aswell when they would be round

Never ever would I want my friends to give me anything if I’m looking after their kids I will treat them like my own if my child is going over someone’s house for the day I will pack him a lunch normally but would never expect or be annoyed if one of my friends children came without any lunch even a drink I would supply it it depends on the occasion but if I’ve invited them I will pay, if I’m looking after them and decide to take them out I’ll pay as it’s my doing but like you said pre planned activity maybe maybe but would never mind if they didn’t

do those parents she sends her kid money with use that money for the kid though?? if they do then they should return the favour and do the same with their kids... I'm assuming they do use it for her child if it has become an issue for her, but really they should be telling the parents from the get go if the kid would need money to cover anything during that playdate, because what if she didn't send her child with money... communication from both sides needs to be better though, as the other parent could always ask too if money is needed before sending her kid with money

The mum here is right if it’s a play date where the understanding is they’re going out I’ll give her money if they’re play date is home then no. It needs to be implied very few of us carry cash so we need to go get it which means we need to be informed to be prepared. I’ve taken others kids and paid for McDonald’s and ice cream etc but never asked for the money because I offered

I treat my kids friend like my own my job to pay for them feed them look after them and my kids friends parents do the same when he goes with his friends how it should be ? The money is for emergencies if needed

If my kids go for play date I send a strawberries or grapes and packet of chocolate fingers. If they go to the park or cinema I would offer some money. If they say no I would just bung them tenner for treats🥰

If I dropped my 6 year old off for a playdate I wouldn't be happy if they then left the house unless I knew beforehand that was the plan, and if I knew they were going for ice cream etc I would send cash.

We have my cousin over in the summer and go to all the big theme parks and days out in London easily adding up to 1000£ just for her and then when we go to her house we get a fuzzy drink a day if we’re lucky
