💔Four more babies surrendered as accidents and terrified for their lives. These four ~9 week old brothers were surrendered just two days ago as an “accidental” litter. Their mom is an Anatolian Shepherd, and they appear to have hound ears, so their dad may be a Hound mix. They’re typical sweet puppies who should be learning about the world in a safe, loving home. Instead, they’re terrified in an overcrowded shelter and desperately need out. Puppies are especially vulnerable in a shelter like this. They can get sick quickly, and with the shelter constantly filling, they’re also at risk of losing their lives simply because there aren’t enough kennels. Especially because they’re same-sex littermates, they should be adopted separately to help prevent littermate syndrome and give each puppy the best chance to grow into a confident, well-adjusted adult. It’s unhealthy for puppies to be extremely bonded & dependent on each other. And please remember: puppies do NOT come already trained. They need patience, socialization, training, vet care, and a family prepared for a lifelong commitment. They do not belong outside as yard ornaments.
