Each of the characters have a unique style of cinematography when it comes to their cutscenes. You’ll notice Michael’s cutscenes are filmed with very steady and smooth camera movements whereas Franklin’s scenes are filmed with a handheld style. Trevor’s style is like handheld x10. It has the crash zooms and very erratic movement. I assume each of these styles were chosen to immerse you into the story, as they each suit the characters very well: Michael the old, leisured, retired robber, Franklin the lower class street man, and Trevor the lunatic.
