I’m heading to shortly, first time. What strikes me in your video is the exhaustion of conforming bearing down on you (I think that’s what you’re describing). Changing yourself to reduce unease and friction, but at an expense, mentally. I believe this experience may be the daily for some folks in the US too, just maybe not to the extreme of Japan. Interesting that Japan is going through a period of further restricting foreigners ability to come here.
