@brandonthomasofficial: YOUR WILL MIGHT BE SCREWING OVER YOUR KIDS You worked your entire life to build wealth... So why make your kids fight through probate, delays, and unnecessary complications to receive it? A lot of parents automatically think: “I’ll just put my kids in my will.” But depending on the asset, there may be a much simpler option: 👉 Transfer-on-Death (TOD) designation It can allow certain assets to pass directly to named beneficiaries without going through probate. You shouldn’t automatically assume your will is the best way to transfer everything to your kids. 💰 Build it 📜 Structure it 👨👩👧 Transfer it properly Because building wealth for your family is only half the job. Knowing how to pass it on matters too. ⚠️ TOD rules depend on the type of asset and state law. Talk with an estate-planning professional about your specific situation. 👉 Save this. Your kids may thank you later. Transfer all deeds to your children BEFORE you pass away, yes I know not always possible, but it’s something you should do around age 60. The goal is to own NOTHING when you die

Living trust can be a little costly, about two to $4000 but they will save you so much headache so you don’t have to deal with probate

This is a good idea however some states require you to go through probate regardless. I’m current going through it in Texas.

Sign over your house before you die or need a nursing home. Just have it state that the parent has life long use of the property. They keep controlling interest in the property until they die.

Put all assets. business and accounts in a trust and have a will. The trust owns everything and make the kid(s) the executor.

I sold my mom’s house without going through probate. Fun fact: if they want to sell or buy it, there’s always a work around.

a will doesn’t have to be expensive. It’s basically legal instructions to make probate easier. Or so I thought.
