You know what’s interesting? Some children learn very early how to use a big emotional reaction to get attention or get a brother or sister in trouble. I have one child who will sometimes cry so hysterically that you would think something terrible happened. But once I calm everyone down and find out what actually happened, the situation usually wasn’t nearly as serious as the crying made it sound. Sometimes she genuinely feels upset, but other times it seems like she has learned that crying that intensely immediately gets everyone’s attention and makes the other child look guilty. That’s why I try not to react immediately just because one child is crying louder. I calm everybody down, hear each child’s side, and figure out what actually happened before deciding who was wrong. Children are smart, and sometimes they develop strategies that have worked for them before.

It's actually really terrifying the amount of people that look at people like Katrina and don't see anything wrong with how she acts. The amount of abuse in this world is insane!

Mom of 4 here. They are now grown and I can say I have never spoken to or treated anyone in my home that way. The amount of chaos, fear and abuse is mind blowing. It's absolutely unbelievable watching 5 minutes of her let alone having to live that 24/7.
