Burn them most scrapyards take it for a good price probably same price as the clean ones once you burn them it’s a lot easier to extract them

My dad used to tear the motors apart and throw the copper pieces in fire to burn off the paper racks, and stuff that kept it hard to get out, and then it would fall out easy. It's amazing how good fireworks, and then my dad would take the burnt copper enthralled in a bucket of coca cola for 24 hours, and it would come out looking brand new copper. He would get top dollar
