This sweet Blue Heeler mix puppy has watched all three of her sisters get adopted while she’s still sitting in the shelter, terrified and waiting for someone to choose her in time. She was dumped on someone’s property with her sisters and is estimated to be around 7 months old, although I honestly think she may be younger. The first two times my friend visited, she was cowering and too scared to even come up to greet her. Two days ago, she finally made it to the front of her kennel, but she was still trembling so hard and mostly avoiding eye contact. She isn’t mean or broken. She’s SCARED. The nonstop barking, unfamiliar people, and constant chaos are overwhelming for this timid little girl. She needs someone who understands that a scared puppy can blossom when given patience, consistency, love, and a safe place to decompress. A confident, friendly dog in the home could even help her learn that the world isn’t so scary. She’s still just a BABY with so much potential. She deserves to be part of a family and to sleep inside on a soft bed/in a crate and grow up knowing what it feels like to be loved. Not spend her life outside. I do not want anyone shaming her sisters’ adopters for not taking her too. They are better off separated & they saved lives. Now it’s HER turn.
