The council and water companies should be responsible for ensuring that grasslands and Green spaces dont get so dry like this. We pay enough money and taxes and they should be used for looking after our spaces

That's a bloody good point actually... If we all kept our lawns watered, they wouldn't be as flammable reducing the chances of people's houses being destroyed. The water companies' wastage, under investment, and profiteering makes them at least partially accountable for these fires.

Be aware HUGE golf courses are still watered and mainted in the heat. And I mean golf courses probably 10 to 100 times bigger than a garden. Id rather a huge company loose a bit of land than 100 people loose their homes yk
