I was going to ask that, too. My mom would clean for the “coffee clatch” ladies and I knew it was gracious of them so mom could have a little extra cash and they were always so appreciative and mom was this 4’10” little tough Hungarian woman. I wouldn’t know the intricacies of their friendships. But I have cleaned and helped other sistafriends when they were sick or postpartum or just really in need (you know—as a favor/friendship). I have been a postpartum doula caring for infants and moms and helping the mom WAS keeping the kitchen in order/cleaning and laundry etc. She wanted to “become” friends. But in my mind she was always “the boss.” So I remembered “my place.” Just wondering if that comes up?
