Misophonia that’s what I have. I can’t stand kissing or lips smacking or people Chewing loudly..The kissing part literally drives me to the point of rage. I just wanna fight somebody I get really upset. I’ve had it for a many many years. I can’t get over it.

This is exactly why I say Churches teachings need to be censored or delivered at age appropriate times. I had the worst nightmares in childhood growing up Mormon. They taught us stuff no child should be learning at a young age while your brain is still developing.

When I deer hunting and it gets dark, my imagination goes wild. My husband found me at my spot one time with my flashlight going all over the place. He said “what are you doing??” I responded “I heard a growl!” It was juvenile raccoons next to my stand growling at me in the dark

For me, it wasn’t sharks. It was the Pulpy monster from i think maybe an Are You Afraid of the Dark episode? -was out of that or Goosebumps. I don’t recall (bc am old), but there was like a high school swimming pool & this invisible pulpy man that would drag folks under & presumably eat them. Like if you married the invisible man to a fleshy Gilly suit & he ate ppl 😩🤮

I was 10 when Jaws came to drive-in movie theater and I will not go swimming in the ocean- even 51 years later 🤣

As a kid, I had a reoccurring nightmare about a time that I was getting off the school bus and whenever I walked up to my house, I couldn’t get inside because a shark was circling around it. Like in the air. 👁️👄👁️

used to have a black liner in our pool. I refused to be in it when the sun went behind the clouds because a shark would come out of the drain. it didn't help my mom called the pool cleaner a monster and I watched jaws when I was to young😁

What gets to me about me is that I can’t swim alone in a pool, but you will see me in the ocean or lake without an issue. In my head more bodies means more options, which means I won’t get attacked. Alone in a pool? Im the only option, which means im getting attacked.

Only at night I felt that way in the pool everytime I have that feeling when I go at night like there is a apex predator in the water with me and in my mind freaks me out
