Hard shell 4 wheel samsonite, my parents bought their first samsonites back in the 80s and they are still great. We changed to the 4 wheel model when they released it. Never had any issues.

My Samsonite is the same, but I got it like eight years ago. I travel to work. I’m gone multiple times a month. I have checked it used it as carry-on with it and it continues to be amazing. My recommendation is to go soft shell.
