I have the skintac as well. I will only put my CGM on with it. I think it helps soooo much as i am a runner and go to the gym several times a week. I definitely recommend this product!! When i put it on, i only rip the packet half way so that i dont have to touch the sticky part. After applying, using an alcohol wipe helps a lot to remove the excess residue!

is this a libre thing with them not sticking well / for long? never had this issue with dexcom, but they have their own different issues of course

i use this, or a similar (amd cheaper) one. As well for my CGM as for my infusionset. You have special remover wipes, you can get the rest of the sticky stuff of your arm and fingers! good luck!

I used ones from Amazon called Kovoq. They give you a plastic cover that you then put a sticky patch on over. It’s simple and effective. It’s a bit over the top, but having just come back from Malta where I was in the sea - it was absolutely fine.

go on aliexpress, temu or stuff like that. search your cgm and waterproof patch. I got a pack of 50 for €6 euro. theyre see through and always last the full 10 day and I go the gym daily and show about 10 times a week

Amazing, really great if you play sports! Unfortunately I can’t use it anymore as my skin is super sensitive and react soooo bad, Including any patches. I now have to wear my sensor on my chest as it’s the only place I don’t react using my CGM, if you have any suggestions for sensitive skin I’m all ears!

I’ve just started using skintac, it helps keep my sensor on… I’ve tried everything, all the fancy covers, different tapes, I was reluctant because of the cost.. BUT, it’s been the best product that has helped keep my sensor on 👍

I use these all the time! Definitely try to put it on at a time where you’re not about to sweat or go in the shower. I try and do it before bed so that it has all night to fully dry and stick to the skin! And then it works like magic!

Definitely a fan of Skin Tac wipes - best not to handle them at all, use the packaging to apply.

For some reason I’m okay with the sensor sticking to my arm but the actual plastic bit seems to come away from the adhesive patch 😅

And how is it when you’re taking it off? Must measure your skin off cause some of those can be very sticky on their own.

My daughter uses these they are brilliant, when applying it to the skin just rip the packet open and get the skin tac wipe visible but don’t pull it out just hold the packet and wipe on the skin stops your fingers being covered 😁 someone gave her that tip a while ago best tip 😁

Started using this as was having issues with my pump infusion sets adhering in the uk heatwave. I also added over patches too and the combination has been pretty bulletproof, and yes the application is the worst bit!!

Recommended it to you years ago. Using it every time, it works. Do NOT use your fingers to hold it, use the wrap.

I use skin tac for both my son's CGM and omnipod and find it very good. I would recommend a generous amount of medical adhesive remover when removing to minimise skin irritation.

I bought my daughter Skin Tac wipes. I didn't realize how sticky they are, and the first time I rubbed a large area of her arm, it was hard to get it off her and off my finger, lol. Lesson learned!

I use these a lot and they definitely help keep my CGM on, I also use Type Strong plasters towards the end of the 2 weeks if I’m struggling or if I know I’m going to be particularly active
