Don’t let the fomo sell you on this. On it a year and a half and kept trying to make it work but Alas, after stopping the treatment my skin is actually beginning to feel good again and not go into barrier crisis every few weeks. As Dr Dray says, it’s not for everyone.

I’m too chicken to try! The last time I dermaplaned, I resumed tretinoin and added a new morning exfoliater (Haru Haru Centella 3% PHA Gentle Liquid Exfoliating four days after and turned my face into a pizza! I haven’t had acne in decades! My derm prescribed Clindamyacin lotion and a low-dose antibiotic to calm the inflammation. I finally figured out that I simply cannot dermaplane. I switched to a Venus women’s face shaver. Now that my face it back to normal, I’m reluctant to experiment with any exfoliation again 😅
