I used to work for a child psychiatrist that refused to watch videos of behavior filmed by parents. He was that against filming meltdowns. I respect that a lot.

I am strict as hell and firm with my severely autistic six-year old, who has had/has some of the same behaviors as Leonidas. Have I lost patience once in awhile on some bad days and yelled? Yeah. would I yell and crash out the way his dad does? And film it? And put it on the internet? Absolutely never! I see my son in his son’s eyes and just want to sob.

The posting of his son looking so distressed has me big mad. Why does that not phase him? When my level 3 kiddo gets that overwhelmed it’s all deep hugs and regulation 😭

As an adult with autism who has occasional meltdowns I would be HORRIFIED if my mom or partner recorded me and then posted it 😭😭 and these kids likely don’t understand the concept of the whole world can see this

You should see the one of a mom who had no problem posting how she let the dentist & staff terrorize her child. I’m so glad I have a dentist that sedates my boys for dental work.

Dude. My son is the same age as his son, my son is also autistic and acts the same way and it literally breaks my heart that he just yells and curses at that boy… it physically hurts me. I feel so bad for him.
