Dating is to fun for men the same way interviewing for jobs is fun for the unemployed. It's a bunch of work, money, time, and effort, over and over for someone you might not even like for a payoff that most likely won't materialize. (the payoff being a relationship, not just sex which I know is what you'll assume, though at least sex is something)

Dating no, 20 year long relationship were we still try and throw popcorn into each others mouths while drunk on a Saturday night in our pajamas, yes. Can’t get to that unless we do the dates. Doesn’t me we have to like everything about it 🙄

I think men just don't romanticize dating. We want to take you out to have a good time, get to know you, see if there are things in common and hopefully laugh. Women maybe view the dating differently where they hope it brings out feelings, connecting emotionally and maybe "did he do enough to impress me"? People used to just enjoy each other's time and now it seems to competitive. Anyways good luck to those searching, I hope you find your person

A date can be really exhausting for a man, since he naturally has to organize and pay for it while remaining in a state of high tension throughout; if the woman turns out not to be interested, he eventually feels like nothing more than a worthless entertainer. Of course, if she is interested and they are in a long-term relationship, things can become more relaxed for him—and he might even get lucky enough to have her organize a date for a change, however rare an exception that may be.

Instead of manipulating the other person, we should really take ourselves out/discover new places solo more often. Then invite someone to share that experience with, make her feel apart of your world. Instead of using it just to get sex. Create an EXPERIENCE, regardless of outcome.
