I don’t know what the Democratic Party stands for. They give vague platitudes like “affordability” but what does that mean? What is your legislative agenda? What reforms do you want to make? What policies do you want to push forward? What is the plan when/if Dems retake Congress and the White House? There’s no direction, no vision. What are dem voters voting for exactly?

I say we fight the establishment Dems like hell, then if we lose that fight and still end up with the harm reduction candidate, we hold our noses and vote for harm reduction. Some harm reduction could be nice for a change. We need to stop the EXCEPTIONALLY BAD stuff that's here, and even worse that's on its way, then get back to fighting the Dems.

Centrist Dems try to de-incentivize corporations from doing bad things while trying to incentivize corporations to do good things, and it hasn't worked. The corporations will take their money whether its subsidies or tax cuts, use it to pay off politicians who won't hold them accountable, and then do whatever they want. Everything has to go through corporations in order to get anything done, somebody always has to get a cut. Take the $400 billion in subsidies to build fiber optic infrastructure that Dems gave telecom companies over a decade ago, they pocketed that money and never built it and no one held them accountable for that. Look at our military industrial complex where we spend so much money for stuff like fighter jets that don't even work, where they charge $100 for a box of screws because it's all one big grift. Socialism is "there's a problem, you solve it directly". We can build things without having to go through contractors, who cut corners and underpay workers. If there's a bunch of useful technology we want to use that's privately held between a handful of corporations, who often paid pennies for those patents from publicly subsidized research, we can just seize those technologies and use them. Capitalism puts a middleman in between every exchange who overcharges you for goods and services and then underpays you for labor. What do they do? They're not inventors, they're owners, and private ownership of capital is not a form of productive labor. It's a siphon of money from working people to the richest people in our society who then use that money to make our lives even worse.
