Start at 6 volts, hang ur needle out roughly a mil more than u would normally need (recommended depth is 4mil) so hang ur needl out a bit more. And I can’t stress this enough, I think long tapered mags r best for packing! Start with a straight mag, learn to not dig ur corners, then go to curved mags! Curved mags can be a bit tricky, u want all the needles to go into the skin at the same time and at the same depth otherwise u will have holidays and patches

6.5-7.5 volts. if youre using a pen. I cant help you. are you using opaque grays? or gray wash? but try packing in a circle move 8 forward and 4 back over. in circular motion obviously.

You should practice on regular paper, drawing straight lines, over and over. I am an artist and couldn’t draw straight, so manual writing and all angles helped
