Idk if this makes sense, but lock your shoulders out so that when your head is straight forward your arms are lined up with your ears or even a little behind them. You may need to stretch your shoulders to gain the flexibility for that. The reason you’re arching is bc your chest is still slanted and not vertical, so your legs are trying to compensate to keep you balanced and so you arch.

Tips! Push the ground as much as possible to lift your shoulders, keep your feet aligned with your shoulders, use your fingers for balance and to not arch a trick to understand the position is u lay down on your back on the floor then you squeeze your stomach to cover the space behind your lower back that movement is what you need to do in a handstand to keep your back flat, often ppl simply let their spine relaxe since it’s more « natural »

engage your shoulders and back. you want to push through so your arms are touching your ears. try to “get tall” if that makes sense

Straighten your back and push through your shoulders. You should feel like you’re pushing down on the ground not like your bodyweight is falling on your wrists, tighten your core as well that’s another reason why you’re falling over. If you absolutely cannot do a handstand without leaning over to the sides work up the muscle memory and strength/ stability by practicing against a wall. - ex professional competitive gymnast.

Girl try against a wall and do holds like the stomach to wall, or L holds. Like really holds are life changers. And and tey to align your foot as if there was a wall behind you.try to do your handstand from a standing position not from a floor position it’ll feel way more natural and you’ll be much less tired (personally i hate to start from that position, u could maybe like it). And i noticed also YOUR SHOULDERSSSSSS. just sit down and try to put ur ear beside your shoulders. It should be that way when doing a handstand because it helps you from falling backwards

ur hands look too close together, head in knees between your shoulders point your toes engage ur core straighten your legs when you get up it helps find her balance easier and probably kick into a handstand by standing straight first it give u more momentum, try against a wall

here’s my proof before I say smth but I saw someone say to tuck your head in but ideally when you’re doing it on the ground you shouldn’t you should be looking at your hands and then your shoulders can’t be relaxed you need to have tension so you’re pushing away from the ground. Also the reason your arch is because when you kick up you’re holding all the weight in your back in an arch position. Tighten your core you should be hollow and you shouldn’t feel any weight on your back.

As someone who suffers from “swayback,” I totally understand this! What really helped me get better at controlling my tilt was learning to tuck my hips. My ballet teacher was really strict about this. When you’re stand, imagine making your back straight by engaging your core and tilting your hips forward without ruining your posture. Another way to find it is by laying down on your back and tilting your hips forward (or bring your stomach backwards) so the gap between your spine and the floor is flushed up. Once you can find and hold this position, try to find it in your handstand; first, against a wall or with your feet resting on something in a pike until you feel comfortable enough to do it without the wall. Focus on your breathing also while doing this. I believe in you!!! 😆
