@notashleylyons: I don’t really know how to put this into words without crying, so I guess I’ll just let the video speak for itself. This account has been such a huge chapter of my life. I’ve met people here who became friends, found community, laughed, cried, created, learned, and grew alongside me. And thank you to those who laughed with me. Cried with me. Supported me financially and interaction wise. Who let me show pieces of myself that were cringey and weird and accepted me anyways…. Closing this chapter, especially with 103,000 of you who have supported me up until now feels big…But sometimes a chapter can be beautiful and still need to be finished. I’ve been feeling for a while now that @becomingashleyb is where I’m meant to be. It feels like me. Not a version of me trying to fit into something that used to work, but the person I am becoming. So this is goodbye to this chapter. 🤍 a goodbye to a life I thought I’d live. A goodbye to what I thought my journey would look like. And a goodbye to a version of me that I no longer fit into. If you’re one of my friends I’ve made along the way, or are invested in the story of a random stranger who keeps crying on the internet…. I’d love to have you on the page made just for me.
