You know you’re independent and fully grown. You can leave the house all alone anytime you want for as long as you want. Even a month. You can go away for a month. I hope this helps.

I guess I have to call myself lucky. My husband ( he traveled for work for 30 yrs so I was used to alone time) retired this year and pickleball and volunteering at the local Moose Lodge has him out of the house a great deal.
