@heyitstessaaaa: You do NOT need to spend $200 to have a luxury-looking day in Pennsylvania. 👀✨ I went looking for places in PA that give “expensive weekend getaway” energy without actually requiring an expensive weekend getaway budget — and Pennsylvania did NOT disappoint. From walking through a literal Gilded Age mansion for $10 or less to exploring Frank Lloyd Wright’s famous Fallingwater for $18, there are so many places around the state where the experience looks WAY more expensive than the admission price. A few that immediately went on my personal list: 🏡 Fallingwater in Mill Run — Frank Lloyd Wright’s iconic house built over a waterfall. The grounds pass is currently $18, while the guided architectural tour is $42. 🏰 Fonthill Castle in Doylestown — a 44-room concrete castle with 18 fireplaces and more than 200 windows. Adult admission is $20. 🌸 Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square — over 1,000 acres of gardens and one of the prettiest places in the state. Current adult admission ranges from $35–$38 depending on the day. 🌿 Chanticleer in Wayne — basically a secret garden for $15. The whole place feels like the grounds of an insanely expensive estate. 🌺 Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh — massive glasshouses and botanical displays for $22.95. 🎨 Brandywine Museum of Art in Chadds Ford — art, gardens, river views and serious quiet-luxury energy for $20. 🌳 Tyler Arboretum in Media — beautiful gardens and trails for $18. 🏛️ Grey Towers in Milford — a Gilded Age mansion where the self-guided museum tour is only $10. 🕯️ Woodford Mansion in Philadelphia — an 18th-century mansion in Fairmount Park for just $8. 🏛️ Laurel Hill Mansion in Philadelphia — a historic house dating back to 1767 with admission of only $5, including guided tours. Honestly, this is exactly the kind of Pennsylvania content I LOVE because these aren’t just “cheap things to do.” They’re places where you can actually make a whole day out of the experience, take cute photos, explore somewhere new and feel like you went somewhere WAY fancier than your bank account would suggest. 😂 Save this for the next time you want to do something that feels fancy without spending fancy money. 💸✨ And if you’re planning a Pennsylvania day trip, send this to the person you’re always trying to make plans with. 😂 Which one would you pick first?! #Pennsylvania #PennsylvaniaTravel #PennsylvaniaThingsToDo #PAThingsToDo #VisitPA

In this thread people saying Longwood Gardens is expensive. I will defend Longwood till the end - the place is literally *World Class* and an absolute treasure. Their gardens and individual flowers defy expectations even among enthusiasts & professionals. People travel to Longwood just to see specific flowers/trees. You can’t keep that place open & running without charging what they do. Speak to the docents as you walk around and ask them questions, or ask “what should I learn about what’s in front of me?” because they’re trained to high standards and know so much. See their night time fountain & light show when in season.
