This summer was the worst. As a single mom my son and I just sat home all summer with nothing to do just trying to afford groceries. Most boring summer ever. I can’t even afford to leave the house anymore. His childhood just passing him by.

First of all, your kids don't need to be entertained by expensive experiences. They need to play outside and use their imagination. When I was growing up you know what I did for fun? Hung out with my grandparents and learned how to sew, how to fish, how to garden. Now I know that grandparents are different nowadays and can't necessarily take the grandkids any old time (or want to), but these are things parents can do with their kids that cost virtually nothing.

The lady in Chicago should just buy a membership.. you get free parking and can come back as many times as you want for a year.. for less than the one day she’s talking about.

camp and a membership at the pool * seasonal summer pool * was $2500.. I was pregnate w/my 2nd wen covid hit, then biden then inflation..If I wasnt pregante then..I nvr would of had another one. Love my girl but I was stable and able to have 2 kids now its a struggle everyday. school clothes supplies - SICK

I have twins. We invested in our home and things to do here. Play yard/pool/garden etc… the goal is to only go out for outings as a treat for the family not an everyday occurrence

Dallas.. I don’t live there, but dinosaur valley is near there, costs almost nothing, the kids can play in the river, learn about dinosaurs, and see real footprints in the ground there.
