Overrepresented is a weird way to say it BUT I think, or at least me, a content writer who does creative stuff, I personally think that I'm already here, might as well just go for it so in a way, yeah, I'm freer not because I don't have a child but more so there's no ceiling to what we can express. We are already bullied for being gay, why repress it?

I’d hypothesise that the imagined ideal of masculinity most of us share precludes developing, much less pursuing, artistic interests outside of a few select fields. Once you’ve realised you’re gay, that ideal is already shattered and you’re free to defy it.

This is a very good point. Perhaps, pure conjecture, there is a Darwinian selective pressure on our species to have a certain percentage of us be homosexual for this very reason. To allow a population level advantage.
