When communist governments were in power, did the majority actually get what they wanted? And when people in those countries were finally given competitive elections, why did so many vote for political and economic change away from the existing socialist/communist system? East Germany? Hungary? Czechoslovakia?

okay what would have to change. no social programs at all. no jail time for.2 offense automatica death penalty along with murder chargers and rape charges. so less people in prison/jails =less cops. 2 terms for congress . if you dont have legitimate reason why you cant work. and people with disabilities most of them can work from home lets behonest there thousands of call.taker jobs were u can work remote. .mother's that cant aford to.feed there kids that are single moms cant have more kids with out proof they can provide for them with out taxes payer money. all this would improve life in america.
