Using a flat iron does not hurt your hair any more than any other heat appliance as long as you use it a heat protectant and at a moderate heat level. And it does not ruin your curl pattern 🙄 -signed someone who has used blow dryers, curling irons, and straighteners for 20 years and their curl pattern has gone right back to normal after washing.

this was my hair after straightening it for my birthday, i think it’s doing ok i used heat protection and don’t straighten it very often. i think this was my third time this year 🤠

I use the round ones with the soft bristles and plastic instead of the square one and my curls are so thick and healthy I don’t even have to use any other product except gel I’ll put my before and after in the comments
