@goatcult.media: In April 2023, a woman in her early 20s was making a DoorDash delivery in Tampa when Joseph Killins approached her with a gun and forced her back into her own car. He made her drive to an apartment complex, where he sexually assaulted her. The victim had been on the phone with her girlfriend through her AirPods, allowing her loved ones to realize something was wrong and track her location. When they arrived to rescue her, Killins opened fire, striking the girlfriend’s sister. The following day, police say he attacked and robbed another woman at the same apartment complex. More than three years later, in August 2026, a jury took only about 20 minutes to convict Killins. As the verdict was announced, he began yelling, swearing and insisting he was innocent before deputies removed him from the courtroom. He was ultimately sentenced to four life sentences.
